The Mind Behind MuradFitness

Get To Know Me

I’m a qualified Physiotherapist and Personal Trainer who’s been running MuradFitness since 2016. Over the years, I’ve helped over 500 clients regain control of their health—physically, mentally, and emotionally—through structured exercise, nutrition, rehabilitation, and mindset coaching. My mission is simple: to guide people back to their strongest, most resilient selves by giving them the tools, structure, and support they need to get there.

My work isn’t limited to physical transformation—I also coach clients toward lasting behavioural change. I’ve helped clients become personal trainers themselves and mentored fellow professionals on how to scale, manage, and grow successful fitness businesses.

Beyond coaching, I’ve built a strong foundation in digital media and business strategy. From website design and SEO to content creation, video production, and marketing, I’ve developed the digital skill set needed to thrive in today’s fitness landscape.

I’m often recognised for my emotional intelligence, maturity, punctuality, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. While I don't seek the spotlight, I do take pride in public speaking—whether I’m on a podcast, addressing a corporate team, or speaking at a school, I bring the same direct, energising message: resilience is everything.

My ethos is rooted in the belief that adversity builds strength. I teach that “the path of most resistance becomes the path of least resistance over time.” In other words, doing what’s difficult now sets you up for ease later. No obstacle is too great if you're willing to face it head-on.

If you’re looking for someone to tell it to you straight, guide you with purpose, and challenge you to rise above your limits, then you’ve found the right coach.

My Ethos

"Resilience is the ability to withstand difficult situations without giving up...

We all encounter hardship in life, and we all choose to either cope or endure our battles with heartbreak, loss of a loved one, financial trouble and breaches in our mental health.

I have always looked inward at how I can change myself physically, mentally, and emotionally when seeking to endure whatever battle I am fighting in life"

"Murad" - In a deeper sense, refers to something intentionally pursued or deeply desired — not a fleeting want, but a  life purpose.

I’m Murad — a personal trainer with 9 years of proven results and a track record that speaks for itself. I don’t do gimmicks. I don’t sell quick fixes. What I offer is structured, disciplined training built on fundamentals that work, and a mindset that demands consistency.

I’ve worked with everyone from complete beginners to competitive athletes, and the approach stays the same: honest feedback, tailored plans, and no room for excuses. That’s why I’m the top-rated trainer in the area — because I hold the standard high, and I expect you to do the same.

If you’re ready to show up and put in the work, I’ll make sure you get results.

My Mission

What I Stand For

I wasn’t the popular kid. I was the overweight refugee in the back of the class—the one kids pointed at, laughed at, and dismissed. That pain stayed with me for years. By the age of fifteen, I was battling low self-esteem, depression, and a growing belief that life would always feel this heavy.

Then I hit a breaking point: I failed nearly every subject in Year 10. That failure woke something up in me.

I decided to turn my life around, starting with my body and mind. I picked up Shaun T’s Insanity™ program, trained six days a week, followed the nutrition plan to the letter, and dropped 13kg in just four months. I felt reborn—but also frail. Cardio had stripped the weight, but left me without strength.

So I pivoted. I found Sagi Kalev’s Body Beast program and began lifting weights. At fifteen, I couldn’t even join a gym, so I built one in my house with whatever cash and scraps I could find. Six months later, I outgrew that setup and walked into the same gym I now train my clients in today.

I spent the next five years deep in the world of fitness and self-education—studying physiotherapy at Brunel University by day, and reading, training, and experimenting by night. In 2016, I qualified as a Personal Trainer. In 2018, I earned my BSc in Physiotherapy. Since then, I’ve clocked over 25,000 hours in the trenches—learning everything from biomechanics to postural correction, nutritional coaching, rehab, and recovery.

But the journey wasn’t always smooth. My early obsession with “health” drove a wedge between me and the people I loved. I became judgmental. Rigid. I thought I had it all figured out and pushed people away in the process.

Looking back, I don’t blame myself. I blame the toxic undercurrent of social media—the curated, obsessive culture that glorifies perfection and punishes balance. It led me to a place called orthorexia—an unhealthy obsession with being healthy.

But experience taught me that real health isn’t just physical. It’s mental. Emotional. Relational. True strength is found in balance, humility, and connection.

Today, I train others not just to look better, but to feel empowered, move with confidence, and live in alignment with who they really are.

My Story

Building Resilience

Up until the age of fifteen, I was the overweight kid in class whom the other kids used to point and laugh at. This made me sick, sad, and depressed every day, and I thought it would plague me for the remainder of my life. After flunking my Year 10 exams, I knew it was time for a major change; I set out on a journey to attain straight A's and to give this fitness thing a real shot!

My journey began with Shaun-T's Insanity Workout Program. Let's say that was intense! Over 120 days, I lost over 13 kilograms and gained much more confidence! For those unfamiliar with this program, it consists of High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts 6 days per week and a complimentary nutrition plan. Quite simply, if you follow the instructions listed in this plan, you can very well expect similar results!

Whilst losing this much weight was an amazing experience, I ended up looking and feeling quite frail. The problem with just doing cardio workouts is that you never gain any strength! On that note, it was time to bulk up! This time around, I followed Sagi Kalev's Body Beast Workout Program. Being fifteen years old, I wasn't allowed to purchase a gym membership, so I took matters into my own hands and built a gym in my home with whatever money and other resources I could get my hands on.

This lasted me six months before the weights I had were too light for me to lift. Enough was enough, I joined a gym at the age of sixteen - the same one I currently train my clients at. Over the next five years, I would spend 1 - 2 hours each day learning about health and fitness (oh, and studying physiotherapy at university). I learned and applied a lot of what I learned, however, this took a huge toll on my relationships.

This obsession with health and fitness damaged my relationship with my parents, brother, and friends. Needless to say, I had an inflated ego when it came to how 'healthy' I was and how unhealthy and unfit everyone else around me was. To no surprise, no one appreciated this attitude and therefore, no one appreciated me!

Whom do I blame for this? Not me. Social Media. Yes, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tinder, etc. All of these platforms are a leading cause of orthorexia. What is orthorexia? This is the obsession with eating healthy and living a healthy lifestyle. You would think working out and eating healthily would be a virtue (to an extent - it is); however, once you step over social boundaries, this is where it can reach a toxic level.

Riya 🏃‍♀️

Improving General Fitness and Build Muscle

After exercising by herself in the gym and attending classes, Riya came to me to take her fitness to the next level. We worked together so that she could learn how to weight train and work her way around the gym floor.

Hinesh 💪

Fat Loss and Muscle Building

After a wake-up call visit to the doctor, Hinesh immediately took the initiative to contact me and kickstart training as soon as possible. Together, we managed to reduce his body fat by 20kg, build a lot of lean muscle mass, and ultimately avoid any frightening visits to the doctor within the foreseeable future.

Alisha 🏋️‍♀️

Developing Lean Muscle

Alisha had been frustrated with going to the gym and not seeing any noticeable results or improvement. We worked on educating her about how to structure a workout plan, correct exercise techniques and eating nutritional balanced meals that support optimal recovery.

The Trio 🙌

Building Fitness for Long-Term Health and Wellness

These are some of my most popular groups of clients. First, there was one whom I helped recover from a shoulder dislocation injury. Pretty soon after, there were three. These three friends managed to learn how to exercise for the first time in their lives and make a habit and lifestyle out of it all, whilst having fun in the process.

IMG_8857 2.JPG

Hannah 🔥

Body Fat Reducation and Building Muscle Mass

Hannah had previous experience with personal training that was not satisfactory. Frustrated with previously wasted time, we worked to get her a plan that was balanced around her lifestyle and promoted long-term sustainability. Hannah was finally able to lose the body fat she wanted to rid of, exercise consistently and continue to get stronger.

IMG_6774 3.JPG

Kenni 💨

Increasing Fitness, Endurance and Lean Muscle Mass

Kenni has always been in and out of the gym. Her main issue had been time, especially with work getting in the way. We were able to build her a set of policies that meant that when work was busy, she would have other alternatives than just the gym for exercise. In addition, Kenni learnt how to cook healthily with limited time rather than relying on takeaways and delivery apps.

IMG_0423 2.jpg

Aman ⚽️

Rehabilitation from Football Injury

Aman had never been to a gym previously but he loved his sports, especially playing football. Unfortunately, a knee injury caused him to have to take a break from football and turn to the gym for rehab. We were able to work together to strengthen and stabilise his knee so he can once again return to playing football.

IMG_5945 2.jpg

Jemie 🍎

Increasing General Fitness and Strength

Jemie had always wanted to become confident with using the gym. However, due to a disability, she struggled with working her way around the weights section. Together we worked through a specialized workout program around her disability and built up her ability to exercise independently. She went on to lose over 20kg of body fat.

Kavita 👶

Regaining Health Post-Pregnancy

Kavita had become frustrated with her post-pregnancy weight gain and associated fatigue. She was adamant to make a change but just didn't know where to start. We worked to teach her how to lift weights 3x a week, structure her nutrition and how to make adjustments to her routine when other priorities in life come up.
